This has nothing to do with my fanfic opposites attract, this is just a christmas gift for all of you naruhina fans out there, and merry christmas to you, everyone and all.

The streets of Konoha were all empty, for today wasn't a day when everybody would be out and chatting and buying and selling in the streets. Today was the day of christmas. Today friends and family would be joined together for having a merry christmas.

Hinata realized how empty the streets were when she walked a little around. Almost no one were to be seen. She was wearing a furred coat that she always wore at christmas time. It was good using it especially when it was so cold as it was. Therefore she had to put on a hat and some gloves too to keep her warmth. She didn't exactly know why no one would want to go outside in this weather. The snow had just fallen last night and the untouched snow was very pretty to look at.

This trip was actually the only time in the whole month she had a nice, silent and lonely walking trip. Her calendar had been full since the first of December after a couple of missions, buying christmas presents and hard work and training at the Hyuuga estate, so she was really contented right now. A sigh of relief formed as a cloud of damp in the air vanishing in a short amount of time.

She walked down the streets. All shops were closed and not a single person was outside. But she could see in every window, that people were home. They were probably celebrating christmas already this soon.

She then went into the park. There were some people and couples walking around in the park, and then some children who were ice skating on the frozen pond. The pineapple trees had taken on their winter dresses and they shined in the bright light of the sun.

As she got back to the city part, Hinata found herself in the part of the city where Naruto, Sakura and all the others lived. After thinking about it, she wondered what they were up to at christmas. She would guess that Sakura had her family that she could celebrate christmas with them. But what about Naruto? He had no family. He couldn't be celebrating christmas all alone, or could he?

Naruto hated this day. This was another of those holidays that he just wanted to sleep away. It always ended up with him being alone. All the other Shinobi and Kunoichi in Konoha had their families that they could celebrate christmas together. But Naruto, his father and mother were both dead.

Looking at the bright side, the others did care about him more than in the old days when no one barely talked to him. After returning to Konoha after the training with Jiraya, he found everybody asking him if he wanted to celebrate christmas with them instead of sitting in the apartment and eating ramen all alone. But Naruto somehow thought that all that asking was annoying and he felt like they were just taking pity on him, so he thanked no.

It was only noon. Naruto had only been up for four hours but it had felt like this day had already taken forever. He knew that he couldn't just wait for it to be over, so he decided to take a walk in town to spend some time. He took on the Hokage jacket that he got for his birthday by Tsunade. It was very comfy and it warmed very much. He also took on his orange scarf and then headed outside.

He realized the moment he stepped out of the door that it was actually snowing. Somehow he didn't like the fact that this day was so beautiful and yet he had to walk though this day all by himself. He hung his head and began walking. The buildings were all covered in snow and so was the street that he marked with his footprints after every step he took. For some time he stopped and held out his hand to catch a snowflake and watch it melt in his hand.

Then he continued walking and ended up on top of the Hokage building where Tsunade would usually stand and stare out upon the village. She didn't today though. She was probably in the building somewhere enjoying the day as anyone else but him. He promised himself to not be a crybaby and cry about this. He knew that it was only today. He could be together with his friends the next day. But he couldn't ignore the fact that he wanted to have a merry christmas like everybody else.

He got depressed about all of the thoughts he had in his head and decided to head back to his apartment. He had barely been out for half an hour, but he couldn't take it anymore. The cold was biting and the beautiful village just made this day too wonderful for him to not be jealous of everyone. Of course he was jealous. He wanted what everyone else had. A family. A real family. But he knew he couldn't get one anymore.

"Hinata. What are you doing out here?" A voice from behind Hinata yelled making her turn around immediately. "N-N-Naruto-kun!" Hinata gasped not expecting to meet someone like him out here. But it wouldn't come as a surprise to her. She knew how much of a pain exactly this day would be to him, and taking a walk in the village would probably be a good way to kill time. But yet she had to answer him.

"I was just... taking a walk." She said timidly not willing to look into his eyes. She was afraid if they would do the same thing to her that they always did. It wasn't because she was afraid of looking at him, it was just her emotions that always wanted to control her body. "Me too." Naruto said smiling kindheartedly. "Ano." Hinata started. "N-now that w-we're both outside w-walking... w-we could..." She stuttered painfully and she hid her face when he finally interrupted her. "Sure." Naruto said. "I was going to do nothing else anyway."

Hinata sighed inwardly about his words as they began walking. She didn't like the fact that he was alone all christmas and was glad that she could be with him walking beside him as she had always wanted to. But she wanted more than this. She wanted to make HIM happy. None of them said a word on the trip, but they just looked around them and looked at the pretty snow that covered the streets.

When they got back to Naruto's apartment after wandering around for an hour, and Naruto waved her goodbye. "N-Naruto-kun. M-Matte." Hinata said, and Naruto stopped. "I-I-I-I w-w-w-wan-t to... uhm..." "Do you want to come in?" Naruto asked scratching the back of his head. Hinata nodded her head silently and skipped until she reached him.

Naruto took Hinata's jacket and let her into his apartment. It wasn't messy as usual since Naruto had nothing to do this morning. It was actually clean for one times sake. The ramen bottles usually lying everywhere were in the trashcan and the clothes that usually lay on the floor was in the laundry box.

Hinata sat down on a chair at the kitchen table and looked around his apartment. She thought that it was very small but it was nice and cosy. She didn't say a word, but Naruto began being a little suspicious why she was her and asked her why she would be here and not in the estate and celebrate christmas with her family. "It's... it's... I... don't know." Hinata said. "But... when I went out for my walking trip, I stopped by your apartment, and I..." Hinata stopped for a moment. "What?!" Naruto asked.

"I finally realized who I really wanted to celebrate christmas with." Hinata whispered "Who?!" Naruto asked stupidly. Hinata couldn't help giggling at his reaction and started blushing. "I... want to... celebrate christmas... with you, Naruto-kun." Hinata said finally looking into his eyes forcing herself not to faint. She had to be strong and not do it this time.

Naruto, though, was astounded. All the others said that they would take him along with them for christmas, out of pity, but Hinata was the first one to say that she wanted to celebrate christmas with him because she wanted to. Naruto didn't care if it was pity too, but she just said that she would rather celebrate christmas with him instead of her family.

He walked against her and was just beside her, kneeling down that he was at the same height as her when he threw his arms around her. "Hinata, thank you so much." Naruto whispered in her ear as a tear rolled down his left cheek. "N-Naruto-k-kun... is... h-hugging me." Hinata whispered unable to go on with this. Her consciousness faded away a few seconds after that last sentence.

She could feel her consciousness fade back just the second that it was gone, and she met the sky blue eyes of Naruto's. She was lying on Naruto's bed and could just smell his scent in the sheets that were wrapped around her. Naruto was standing in the kitchen, doing something. She would definitely know since it made so much noise that it waked her. She went out of bed to check what he was doing.

When she got around the corner so that she could see, she saw that he was making ramen for two. It wasn't the ramen that he usually ate but some new kind of ramen that he had bought in the near mart. It had a red and green cover symbolizing the month of christmas. A ramen with a special flavor of christmas.

Naruto quickly noticed Hinata's presence as she was almost breathing his neck from over there. "Oh, Hinata." Naruto said. Hinata was sure that she was giving a squeal in her mind when he turned around. "I'm glad that you're awake." He then said. "You should get rid of that annoying behavior." Naruto scratched his head laughing about his own joke, and Hinata looked down thinking that he was making fun of her.

Hinata laid the table putting up some red bowls and white plastic chopsticks to make it look like christmas. Under that she had put up a green tablecloth that she found in one of his closets. A few minutes after she was done, sitting on the opposite side of the table, looking at Naruto making ramen, the ramen was finally done. She liked the way he did it though he was the clumsiest cook she had ever seen. But she knew that his ramen would taste good since he had a good taste for ramen, and he would only eat the best kind of ramen.

Dinner tasted really good and she even told him. She had all that she could eat, that would be two portions at highest. Naruto, though, really liked the flavor of this ramen, so he ate five whole portions, and was finally satisfied and stuffed when he finished his fifth portion. "Thank you Naruto-kun, it tasted really nice." Hinata commented the chef. In reaction to that, Naruto scratched the back of his head blushing about the wholehearted comment. "Thank you Hinata, I never let anyone taste my own cooking." Naruto said. "But I'm glad that you like it."

Naruto took the two bowls and brought them to the sink intending to do the dishes, but Hinata wanted to do the dishes for him for doing all the work making the dinner. And even though Naruto didn't want her to do the work since he was just joyful that she would be there, Hinata wouldn't refuse to do the dishes for him, so she would be washing the bowls and pot, and Naruto would be drying it.

After Hinata had flushed out the dish water, she walked into the bedroom part of his apartment. Naruto hadn't done much to make his apartment look christmas like because of his hatred to the christmas month, but he had been so nice to put up a christmas tree anyway. That it was half as big as Hinata wouldn't change that he minded buying one.

"What's wrong?" Naruto asked and looked at Hinata, who was curiously admiring his tiny christmas tree. "It's a really cute christmas tree you've got." Hinata said blushing. "Yeah, I thought that I shouldn't be too mad at christmas just because I'm not as lucky as all of you." Naruto said. "I thought about that when I saw a tree that didn't grow as much as the other trees and thought that I should make it happy and give it a nice home."

Hinata touched the top of the tree with her index finger and let it run down one branch. Naruto had decorated it beautifully. It was decorated with red and white christmas ornaments, a long green homemade garland, a forest of christmas lights and to top it off a layer of artificial snow. But the christmas tree was missing something. "Doesn't it need a star at the top?" Hinata asked looking back at Naruto. "Yeah." Naruto said grinning, but didn't look like he was going to give it one.

But Hinata did care. She remembered that she was wearing a necklace right now. It was an early birthday gift from Kurenai since she would be on a mission for months. It was a silver necklace with a shining golden star. She took her necklace off and wrapped it around the top of the tree. "You didn't need to do that." Naruto said blushing and scratching the back of his head. "But I wanted to." Hinata said.

Hinata slipped her hand down her right pocket in her pants. "A-Ano." She said nervous and Naruto looked curiously as she picked up a christmas present. "I-I have s-something f-for you." Hinata stuttered. Naruto looked surprised at the tiny gift wrapped in green and red wrapping, and attacked to it was a christmas card with a short speech. "I-I can't." Naruto said. "Why did you get me a present?" Naruto asked. "I was going to give it to you tomorrow, but since we met now, I'd like to give it to you now." Hinata said. "Hinata..." Naruto whispered and looked at the christmas card reading it loud:

You're strong, you never give up, and you fight for what you love. You gave me strength and I've never thanked you for what you did. You didn't know you made me grow, but you did. Today I will repay you for what you did though it probably won't be enough.

Naruto unwrapped the present and opened the tiny box. Wrapped in bubble plast was a small ceramic figure painted with strong colors of Naruto and 2 Shadow clones creating the Rasenshuriken. It was so magnificent that Naruto thought he was going to scream "Awesome'ttebayo!" He hugged Hinata and whispered the words in her ear. "Thank you, Hinata-chan, I love it." He could see Hinata's blush when he released, and then he realized that he had nothing to give her.

"I'm sorry Hinata, but I..." "It's ok, Naruto-kun, I don't need a gift back." Hinata said. "All I wanted for christmas, was to celebrate it with you." Naruto looked down hating himself for not having a gift for her when his eyes suddenly focused on the necklace that he had worn for many years. He took it off and looked at it in his palm. The blue crystal reflected the colors of the christmas tree.

He looked at Hinata who was staring confused at his now closed palm. "Close your eyes." Naruto said. "Eh?" "Just do." Naruto said again, and this time, Hinata closed her eyes without a question. She could hear Naruto moving, and gave a shake when she felt warm metal around her neck. "Open you eyes." Naruto said low, and Hinata did so looking at what she was wearing. It was definitely the necklace that she had always seen Naruto wear. She blushed and then looked up looking him in the eyes. "N-Naruto-kun, I-I" She stuttered. She didn't know what to say. She was more astounded than anyone would be in this situation.

"I don't need a reason to give it to you, right, Hinata-chan?" Naruto said. "It's christmas, and you know, it's more important to give, than it is to receive. I realized that from your reaction just before." "You're so sweet, Naruto-kun." Hinata said and embraced him telling him thank you for the gift. Of those three hugs she got this evening. It was light, passionate and felt so good to her since they put so little pressure into their embraces but just touched each other to get the good feeling of being touched by someone else.

It was now 6 o' clock and Naruto escorted Hinata home to the estate. He didn't like her going home alone in the dark, and company is always good. The outside looked pretty wonderful and romantic too. The candles had been lit and shone in different colors and the stars on the sky were looking at them. It had stopped snowing and the new fallen snow was so untouched and beautiful that you would just want to have a picture of the whole thing.

For fun, Naruto had wrapped his scarf around the both of them and then, without really thinking about it, he had put a hand around Hinata's waist and pushed her into his embrace which she didn't reject, but rather she just blushed hardly. But after walking for some time, she got used to it and just enjoyed it.

A huge sigh came from Hinata when she could see the estate gate. When they were just under the roof of the gate, Hinata took Naruto's scarf off her head and looked at her beautiful necklace before she gave him a hug and said what you would usually say in this situation. "Merry christmas, Naruto-kun," She whispered in his ear. "Merry christmas, Hinata-chan." Naruto whispered back.

They separated, but Naruto didn't leave yet. Hinata stared at him wondering why he hadn't left, but then noticed that something had caught his attention. She looked up above her head and saw that someone in the clan had put up a mistletoe and then looked at Naruto. Old traditions says that a girl cannot reject a kiss when she stands under a mistletoe, and when Hinata remembered that, she could almost read Naruto's mind, and blushed madly about it.

Naruto walked slowly against Hinata, who was frightened. She didn't know what to do. She couldn't flee, since Naruto would never forgive him if she would, and if she fainted he would be sad too. In her wild and nervous thoughts, Hinata couldn't manage to do anything before he stood just in front of her. Hinata timidly looked up into his sky blue eyes that were looking just into her shining lavender eyes. "Always respect the mistletoe, right, Hinata-chan?" Naruto said and gave her a grin. Hinata didn't really know what he meant about it, but little could she think before Naruto bowed down and caught her lips with his own.

Naruto was going to make it a short kiss, but after a few seconds, Hinata broke her timid nature and kissed him back passionately, throwing her arms around his neck. Anyone else would think that she thought of this as a real loving kiss, but who would know what was going on in Naruto's head.

They released when their breath reached their limits and they both exhaled deeply creating a cloud of damp in the cold air. "Thank you Hinata." Naruto suddenly said. Hinata didn't answer, but gave him a strange look. "For making this christmas the best I've ever had, arigatou." He said and gave her a sweet smile.

Hinata blushed madly and hid her face in her jacket. As she did that, he threw his arms around her and pressed her into his body. "Merry christmas, Hinata-chan." He said. As he did that, Hinata rested her head on his shoulder. "Merry christmas, Naruto-kun." She whispered.

As she was just going to go, Naruto pulled her back. "You know." He started. "We should do stuff like this more often." "Y-you mean... l-like a date?" Hinata asked blushing even more than she did before. "Yeah." Naruto said and gave her a grin. "I-I." She stuttered but then she gulped and got it out. "I'd love to." She finally said.

"Now hurry in to your family." Naruto said. "They're waiting for you to celebrate christmas with them." "I will." Hinata said walking against him and wrapped her arms around him. "But first, let me respect the mistletoe once more."
